{Davis Kiddos}

Meet Sarah, Andrew & Matthew…the Davis Kiddos!  Sarah is friends with my little sister, Montanah…they have played sports together and been a part of many extra curricular activities together, so I’ve known the Davis Family now for a few years.  At a recent Soccer Fund Raiser, the Davis Family won a Gift Certificate that I donated to their auction and since I know they had been wanting to have updated pics of the kids taken, that worked out perfect for them!

So, we met up at one of my favorite parks in Roseville for their Session and had at it.  I know it’s torurous for little ones to have their picture taken sometimes because it can be time consuming…and although Matthew did well for a little while, he wanted nothing more than to play at the park after he figured he’d ‘done his time’ with the camera, haha!

But with a set of car keys and a horn honking button, Matthew was a happy camper…big time!  We must have tried for a good 15-20 minutes to get his attention and keep him preoccupied, but go figure it’s the simplest things that sometimes are the most pleasurable for little kids ;o)

So, here are some of my favs from their Session and since I know these guys are Disney Fanatics .. like me ;o)  I have chosen a cute Disney song to accompany my favs, Njoy!

{Mr & Mrs Mark Lantsberger: November 13, 2010}

I know Mark thru a good friend.  They played together in a band that we used to be see all over the Bay Area.  But it’s probably been about 4-5 years since I’ve seen Mark and one day I get a call from him, with interest in Photography services for his upcoming Wedding!  Fabulous!  Now, most people that know Mark, know his hair style…at least back in the day, was always a Mohawk and it was awesome, but for his big day, he went with a more slicked back look, which was something I wasn’t used to seeing on him, haha!  Apparently he can pull off any hair style, love it!

I had met Susan once before the Wedding and was excited to photograph for her and Mark!  They were married at Scott’s Restaurant in Walnut Creek.  I have photographed there before, but never during Christmas, which was a treat because they had all sorts of Christmas Decor throughout, which made for not only great details to shoot, but matched Mark & Susan’s Red/Black color scheme!  The Ceremony & Reception were both held at Scott’s, however, I started with some Getting Ready pics of Susan and her girls, at the Lafayette Park Hotel.  When I arrived, she seemed super calm, while the finishing touches were put into her hair.  But there was some fabulous moments caught on camera, that are some of my favorites from the day!  I love photographing during the Getting Ready because you can capture some of the real emotion leading up to such an important time in your life…it’s a beautiful time!

Mark & Susan’s Ceremony was gorgeous indoors with all the Christmas Decor at Scott’s and they followed that with a fabulous Reception that included Dualing Pianos, which were awesome!  So, here are some…okay a lot, of my favs from their big day!  Njoy!

{The Tilson Family}

Can you say Gerber Baby?  Love this little girl, she is just adorable!  Irie Tilson is 5 months old now and it was my first time meeting her.  Just a doll and such a good sport in the cold weather too!

Scott & Nikki were married a couple years ago and I had the pleasure of photographing their Wedding!  Once again, I love having the opportunity in photographing my clients and their growing families…it is so much fun and such an honor to capture these moments for them!

This was the Tilson Family’s first Family Portrait, so we met up at Misty Woods Park in Roseville (one of my favorite spots) for their shoot.  Like I said, it was cold, cold, cold, so I was working as quickly and efficiently as I could for them, but I just kept shooting Irie because she is just such a ham for the camera.  Seriously, her facial expressions are just the best!  Okay, okay, I know you just want to see the pics…so here are my favs!  Njoy!

{The Phillips Family}

The great thing about having a photography business…I get to be a part of special moments, happy times, growing families and smiling faces…actually I get to capture this for my clients!  But even better than that, over the years, I’ve built many relationships and even friendships, which are very important to me.  You just never know when the phone rings what the end result of that ‘inquiry’ will be!  Well, Sherry (MOB…Mother of the Bride, if you didn’t know the abbreviation), found me thru an online search in June 2009.  I remember the phone call well because I was visiting my Mom in WA State and I had a terrible cold, pretty much lost my voice.  Sherry was so sweet and stuck it out on the phone with me while I explained some of our services and packages for her daughters upcoming Wedding.  When I hung up the phone, I thought, this lady probably thinks I’m crazy with my almost completely lost voice, cracking as I spoke, I sounded horrible!

However, that was a phone call that, little did I know, would be the beginning of not just a working relationship, but a family friendship!  Sherry’s daughter, Courtney was married October 2009 and a few months ago, they welcomed their first baby boy into their world…little Jackson James.  I have had the opportunity to be a part of many exciting moments in Ty & Courtney’s lives in the past year and a half.  If you don’t recognize these guys, you definitely aren’t checking out our blog…so START checking out our blog now, LOL!  Ty & Court have been featured several times and I am excited to share some of their newest pics!

Here’s to a long lasting friendship and many years of moments captured!  Njoy!

{Leanne Waggoner: Senior Portrait}

One of my brides from this year referred Leanne to me for her Senior Highschool Portraits!  I don’t get the opportunity that often to work with Seniors, so I was excited for something different!

I had a great time working with Leanne…I’m sure she thought I was crazy and not serious at first, when I told her my idea of sitting in a pile of leaves and throwing a big bunch of them in the air, LOL!  But she was a trooper, she did just that and holy cow, some of my favorites shots of her being very natural and having fun with it!.  She is such a beautiful girl and her personality really came out with the leaf pics!  We shot her Session at Elk Grove Park, which is a place I’ve photographed before, but it’s been a while.  I’m glad she chose that location because especially this time of year, it had fabulous colors to go with the season!

Here are some of my favs from Leanne’s Session!  Njoy!
